Short answer

A courier delivery app suite lets customers or merchants book deliveries, assigns orders to riders, optimises routes, shares live tracking and captures proof of delivery and cash collection. Infikey builds courier, hyperlocal and last-mile delivery platforms with rider, customer, merchant and admin apps. Typical builds cost USD 25,000–60,000.

Rider data and labour rules

Rider location is personal data: track only during shifts, explain it clearly, and keep it secure under the DPDP Act in India, the UAE PDPL, UK GDPR or US state privacy laws. Gig and platform worker rules are also changing in several markets (for example social security codes in India and worker status rules in the UK), so we keep earnings, hours and payouts transparent and exportable.

Project blueprint

Last-mile delivery platform for a regional courier

Based on the requirements we hear most often from buyers like this.

A regional courier delivers parcels for online sellers across a few cities. Riders get their routes on paper, customers call to ask where their parcel is, and cash on delivery is reconciled at the end of each day by hand.

What we would build

  • Merchant portal and API for bookings, labels and tracking
  • Route optimisation and rider assignment by area
  • Rider app with navigation, OTP or photo proof of delivery and COD collection
  • Live tracking links and status updates for customers
  • COD reconciliation and merchant remittance reports

How success is measured

  • First-attempt delivery rate
  • Parcels delivered per rider per day
  • Customer calls asking for parcel status
  • COD reconciliation differences

FAQ

Questions buyers ask us.

How much does a courier app cost?

A courier platform with customer, merchant, rider, hub and admin apps typically costs USD 25,000–60,000 (about INR 20–50 lakh). A simpler own-fleet delivery app for a brand costs USD 15,000–30,000.

Can merchants book deliveries through an API?

Yes. We provide APIs and plugins so merchants can create shipments, get labels and receive tracking updates directly from their website, Shopify store or ERP.

Which route optimisation do you use?

We use proven routing engines such as Google OR-Tools or commercial routing APIs, tuned with your time windows, vehicle capacities and service rules.
