Short answer

Insurance agency software (a broker or agency management system) manages the full distribution cycle: leads, quotes from several insurers, proposals, policies, endorsements, renewals, commissions and customer service. Infikey builds custom agency platforms with agent apps and customer portals. Typical builds cost USD 30,000–70,000.

Built for how agencies actually work

  • Agent mobile app for quotes, document photos and payments in the customer’s living room.
  • Hierarchy support for branches, team leaders, sub-agents and point-of-sale persons, each with their own access and payouts.
  • WhatsApp-first communication for quotes, renewal reminders and policy delivery.
  • Compliance records: who advised what, disclosures shown and consent captured, kept for audits under rules such as IRDAI regulations in India or FCA Consumer Duty in the UK.

Project blueprint

Agency platform for a motor and health insurance broker

Based on the requirements we hear most often from buyers like this.

An insurance broker with a network of sub-agents sells motor and health policies from several insurers. Quotes are collected from insurer portals one by one, renewals are tracked in spreadsheets, and commission payouts to sub-agents cause monthly disputes.

What we would build

  • Multi-insurer quoting with side-by-side comparison for agents
  • Policy records, document vault and endorsement requests
  • Renewal reminders with pre-filled quotes and payment links on WhatsApp
  • Commission rules by insurer and product, with sub-agent statements
  • Agent app for quotes, document photos and payments on the spot

How success is measured

  • Renewal retention rate
  • Time to produce a comparison quote
  • Commission disputes per month
  • Policies sold per agent

FAQ

Questions buyers ask us.

Can we import our existing policy data?

Yes. We migrate customers, policies, renewals and commission history from spreadsheets or your current system, clean duplicates and check totals with you before go-live.

What if an insurer has no API?

We use rating tables you maintain in the system, or capture quotes manually with structured fields. When the insurer releases an API, we switch that product over.

Is a generic CRM such as Salesforce or HubSpot enough?

Generic CRMs handle leads well but need heavy customisation for policies, renewals and commission rules. Agencies with complex commissions or sub-agent networks usually get better value from a purpose-built system.
